More on the family we're helping...

The fundraiser to help Karen Farrell and her family is due to the fact that Karen is suffering from MS for several years which can be draining emotional and physically on Karen and her family. Karen is not the only one suffering in her family she has a daughter who has Mitochondrial disorder. This family doesn't just have one person suffering: they have two in their household which can be even more draining for any person to handle. Karen has been unable to work and her wonderful husband Jack has had the burden of having to deal with holding down more than one job for a long time now. Due to the lack of financial support, they have suffered from not being able to do the home repairs that are need to be done.

They had an electrical fire at one point in their home as well. with all this going on and on the verge of losing their home due to the decrease help is very much of an everyday burden to the whole family, so I'm asking everyone if possible to come to this fundraiser and show your support. If you"re unable to make the fundraiser, let's show support by donating to this family in need to help them repair their home and pay medical bills that are needed to be paid. I, for one, know I am very lucky and blessed and will do what I can to help them out as I know this could have easily been my daughter and myself, or any of you at any time. Welcome to Save a Family, Save a Home

I'm starting this blog and event to help raise funds to help make necessary improvements to a home for a friend who has been hit with some bad luck recently. She has been trying to make ends meet, but has battling with disease and hospital bills for herself and her daughter. To make matters worse, their house had an electrical fire.

This event is being organized by a few individuals who are trying to help our friend, and all proceeds from the masquerade will go to this mother and daughter in need. Please help us help them and join us for a night of entertainment and dancing at UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center who has so graciously donated this space to us for the night. There will be music, food, and raffle prizes to be won. It should be an amazing night for everyone involved.
